About Our School

St Christopher Primary school is a special place. Everyone who visits talks about the wonderful atmosphere and the friendliness of the school. The school has an excellent reputation in the area.

St Christopher was built in the 1950's. It was originally an infant and junior school. The school was partially funded by money donated to the local area in the name of Frederic Christopher Winser who was an RAF pilot in WW2. He lost his life defending his country and was considered a courageous young man for various reasons. Our school logo depicts the building and incorporates a paper plane 'Aiming High' referencing the history of the school.

Pupils enjoy their learning in school and parents value the support of the school and their community. The school has an excellent reputation as an employer too; St Christopher always recruits high quality staff whom year after year deliver an excellent education. Pupils are well known by the staff in school. The senior team are highly visible on a daily basis for pupils and parents. Alongside staff and Governors they work hard to ensure St Christopher is the wonderful school that it is.

Our twitter feed gives visitors a flavour of the school; it is the best place to see what happens on a daily basis.
