Children in Need 2015

As I am sure you are aware it is coming up to the time of year where we participate in the National fundraising event that is “Children in Need”. BBC Children in Need’s vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential. With your help and generosity, they fund projects for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. To mark the launch of this year’s campaign a host of celebrities have come together to galvanise the nation to dress up as their childhood heroes. BBC Children in Need’s celebrity friends chose heroes from their childhood, including an Arctic explorer, dame, superhero and cowboy!

At St Christopher we would like to join in with this event by encouraging the children to dress up as their hero!

We are suggesting a donation of £1.00 for this to raise money for the charity. The school will also organise the selling of cakes at a cost of 20p each on Friday 13th November. Selling cakes relies on the donation of cakes. If you would like to help us with this then we will welcome either some homemade or purchased cakes sent in on the day. If they are baked at home please include a list of ingredients. If you would like to donate cakes in a tin/box that you would like to be returned, please ensure that your child’s name and class is clearly displayed on it.
