Cross Country Girls Race to New School Records

St Christopher girls cross country team raced to a series of school records at the Coventry primary schools girls cross country races held at Keresley Grange on Tuesday. Under stormy grey skies which threatened heavy rain at any moment, 12 girls from year 5 & 6 joined almost 300 girls from primary schools across the city in a mile long race around the grounds of the Tamworth Road school. The St Christopher team in the A race finished in 7th position overall – a  St Christopher school record for a girls cross country team – with Hannah finishing in 18th place overall, the highest placing for the school on the day and a St Christopher school record for an individual place. Very well done Hannah.  In the B race the team finished 12th overall with Rosie finishing in 19th place overall a record for the school in a B race event.  Super running Rosie. All of the girls showed great determination, fitness and resilience over the tough course running in front of huge crowds of cheering families and friends.
