We have been advised by the City Council that NUT and NASUWT members are proposing to take strike action on Tuesday 1st October 2013 as a further step in their national dispute over pay, pensions, working conditions and jobs.

- Playgroup will be open as normal.
- There will no lunchtime wraparound service on this date.
- Where you have paid for all five school meals on the weeks affected by the strike action you will be credited for the meals which will be unavailable on Tuesday 1st October.
- Kool Kids will remain open as normal from 7.30am-9.00am and 3.30-5.30pm. Any queries for Kool Kids please speak to the staff.
- Guitar lessons will continue for Year 6 pupils. Pupils in Years 3-5 will not be charged for this date and this will be reflected in your invoice.
I appreciate that this will create inconvenience for you and your family. I have a duty to minimise disruption to pupils’ education where possible and it is our preferred option to remain open rather than closing the school to all pupils.
