COPY OF THE LETTER SENT OUT ON WEDNESDAY 11TH JANUARY

Dear Parents and Carers,

School Closure: Thursday 12th January 2017 until at least 1pm

Our school boilers have had to be switched off today at 12 Midday. Our maintenance team have informed us that we do not have enough gas to adequately and safely supply the boilers. Transco have visited the site today and have been unable to rectify the problem. Transco are due to return in the morning. The temperature in school has dropped to below recommended workplace temperatures as of 2.30pm today.  Without heating overnight, school will be very cold tomorrow morning.

We are hoping to re-open school at 1pm for all pupils (12.30 for Nursery). Should the problem not be fixed then school will remain closed. We will aim to send another text message by 11am tomorrow.

Please follow twitter and visit the school website for up to date information.

We understand that a half day closure may be inconvenient but where there is a chance of opening school we will do so.

Sincere apologies for this inconvenience

Mrs Robinson and Mrs Brooker Davis

(Headteacher and Chair of Governors)
